UEC Advanced Electronics, a subsidiary of Albion River LLC, is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina. Based in the Charleston region, our campus spans more than 64,000 square feet dedicated to engineering, integration, production, and testing operations.

UEC Advanced Electronics develops and delivers mission-critical products with a focus on advanced power systems. Our capabilities include the design and manufacturing of vehicle power systems, clean energy generation solutions, power distribution units, power management technologies, modular high-voltage packs, and intelligent battery systems.
Beyond our core products, UEC Advanced Electronics also provides end-to-end manufacturing of complex assemblies—including cable assemblies, circuit card assemblies, and fully integrated multi-rack systems—supporting a wide range of demanding applications.

UEC Advanced Electronics History
- 1995: Founded in Hanahan, SC as UEC Electronics, LLC (Ufkes Engineering and Consulting) by Engineers Rebecca and Phil Ufkes.
- Woman-Owned Business: Recognized as a small, woman-owned business in South Carolina.
- Initial Focus: Developing automation solutions for U.S. government vehicles and systems, along with power-related products.
- 2008: Entered a Department of Defense-sponsored mentoring program with Raytheon Co., concentrating on product development, advanced electronics manufacturing, and lean manufacturing.
- 2009: Expanded manufacturing facility in Hanahan to enhance capabilities and capacity.
- 2014: Acquired by Arotech Corporation’s Power Systems Division, a defense and security company, on April 1.
- 2015: Arotech relocated its Auburn-based power systems subsidiary, Electric Fuel Battery Corp., to the Hanahan facility to unify the two businesses.
- 2019: On December 19, Greenbriar Equity Group acquired Arotech.
- 2025: On January 31, Arotech Corporation was acquired by Albion River.
